Athletics

The mission of TFS athletics is to develop GREAT character, competence, and competitiveness, to host GREAT events, and to create a Season of Significance. GREAT character evidenced through behavior and performance (stamina, speed, strength, skill, and strategy) will determine this success

Tallulah Falls School fields 40-plus teams in 13 sports, competes in the Georgia High School Association and the Tri-State Middle School Conference. Middle school volleyball competes in the North Georgia League.

TFS competes with other independent schools and public schools in cross country, girls volleyball, boys soccer, MS tennis (Fall), basketball, swimming/diving, girls spirit cheerleading (Winter) and baseball, golf, girls soccer, tennis, and track & field (Spring). Precision Riflery competes within USA Shooting. Bass Fishing competes as a GISA sport.

The Indians are members of Region 8-A Private, which includes Athens Academy, Athens Christian, George Walton Academy, Loganville Christian and Prince Avenue Christian.

Facilities include a newly-renovated Sports Fitness Center with a variety of equipment, usage times, and exercises to help students and athletes improve performance and lifetime fitness. The Student Activity Center on the middle school campus (gym, fitness center, horizontal climbing wall, multimedia, drama and music room, theater stage, running track, and concessions area), the Higgins Baseball Complex (high school and middle school baseball fields), a cross-country course, six renovated tennis courts, two Upper School gym areas – one main and one multi-purpose – and plenty of nearby trails and hills to condition, provide abundant opportunities for individuals and teams to train and compete. Opening in 2021 is the state-of-art TFS Natatorium, which features a 10-lane championship pool and room for up to 240 spectators.

Our mission for athletics is fairly simple but but complex. Our philosophy is we want to be great and we want to provide a season of significance.

We keep that in mind all the time, like characterised the thing that we're working on every day. When we're hosting great events, we look and go, "How can we make this better? How do we make this good for fans? How do we make it good for our student athletes and our coaches?"

Academics are very important to athletics.

Our athletic programs are consistently top in the region for their sportsmanship as well as their athletic accomplishments and academic accomplishments. Our volleyball team basketball team, cross country, track and field all those teams excel.

Our facilities on campus are fantastic and they've continuously been improving over the last few years.

We have three basketball courts, we have a rifle range, and eSports room and our coaches are excellent in what they do. Many of them have very strong connections at the collegiate level and know what it takes to compete there.

Everything that a college coach would expect you to have mastered, we work on it. We improve our skills so that if we do want to play in college, we will be prepared.

I recently was offered a full scholarship to play golf at Wofford College. I'm excited for my future mostly because of where it came from. Just looking back on the last few years I do notice that my foundations and where I came from is really just pushing me forward and that's what's very exciting about it.
