Tallulah Falls School, our upper school academics is a range of your social studies, math, sciences, Englishes. But the academics are college preparatory in nature. So everything is geared towards pushing the students, challenging the students, creating an environment that allows them to be successful, but be prepared when they move on to universities or colleges.
There are a wide variety of college courses offered at TFS. And while taking those courses here, it really gives the student the ability to be on a high school campus, but to also get the college experience and to understand what a college course would be like.
And those college courses would be taught on campus giving students the ability to have college credit as high school students.
We do have college counselors on staff helping seniors complete their college applications.
They work very vigorously from day one with students from their freshman year, all the way to graduation, Seniors.
Students at the beginning of every school year are given a list of courses that they can take, they're open to choose which courses they would like, and the counselors work with them to get those choices met.
We have a number of fine arts programs at Tallulah Falls, including art, art history, we have drama, music, and chorus and orchestra. To me, teaching is all about interacting with the students and making them manipulate the content and, and kind of related to everything they see on a daily basis is really when things start to click and light up for them and that's just a joy to watch as a teacher.
